Justitia Mutual Association Incorporated is a member-based organisation established in 1985 to support and protect legal practitioners in New Zealand. We are run by lawyers, for lawyers, with a focus on risk management, insurance, and professional support.

Justitia is not just another insurance company. Our legal indemnity lawyers, alongside Aon, a leading insurance broker, to provide access to professional indemnity and companion liability insurance tailored specifically to the legal profession.

Justitia supports members with Professional Indemnity insurance and Companion Liability policies, along with extensions and additional cover options relevant to legal practice.

Members receive comprehensive claims support, including technical, legal, and insurance advice. Justitia has extensive experience managing claims and works closely with specialist panel lawyers when required.

Claims support and advice are provided at no additional cost to members, other than the application of the policy excess where applicable.

Membership is open to legal practitioners across New Zealand, including sole practitioners and law firms of varying sizes.
